Superman wants Batman to join his new superhero team, but Batman prides himself on being a self-sufficient loner. Be-Leaguered was the start of the Lego DC universe and unlike it's following feature length movies only stands at around 20 minutes.<br/><br/>It's a quick story about the Justice League trying to recruit Batman into their ranks but him refusing. But when the Justice League members get kidnapped one by one he jumps into action.<br/><br/>Alike the others it's dumb, its dumb and its aimed primarily at tykes.<br/><br/>What makes this one particularly bad is how pathetic it makes the DC villians and the identity of the real antagonist, it would have been less dumb if it were Howard The Duck.<br/><br/>Only for big fans of Lego DC.<br/><br/>The Good:<br/><br/>I liked the bit where it ended<br/><br/>The Bad:<br/><br/>Dumb payoff<br/><br/>Childish<br/><br/>Things I Learnt From This Movie:<br/><br/>I'm getting really burnt out on these Lego DC movies!<br/><br/>Batman should never laugh, it chills me to my very soul This is a 23-minute animated short film from last year and like so many it features all kinds of superheroes. The Lego animation is something not everybody will appreciate too much including me, but I thought the humor and the characters made it worth a watch nonetheless. And somehow the humor was on par with the animation style. It just fit in my opinion. All the voice actors in this one are fairly experienced, have worked in film for decades some of them, and director Morales and writer Krieg are also not new to the genre at all. Experience shows and it's a successful job by everybody involved. Superman approaches Batman to get him to join the Justice League, but Batman is skeptical and decides to keep working on his own. It takes the involvement of Bat-Mite (a good guy? bad guy? stalking fan?), a character I am not familiar with to change Batman's mind. The story is sometimes fairly absurd and does not make really sense, but if you decide to watch it for the superhero action and not look for any depth in here, you may very well enjoy it. Decent watch and I recommend it.
